Wiping off the Dust

Hey there, Ultizeta here. Man, it's been a while, hasn't it? I've never even made a news post here before, but this is definitely something worth paying attention to. I realize that it's been a long time since I've done anything with this review site. You can thank time issues and motivation issues for that.

Mainly, I just lacked the time to work on reviews due to my two other active comics, as well as no real desire to read through brand new works very often, and doing so without motivation often left me burned out and made critiquing it awkward.

Now, though, I've finished one comic, am working on reviving the other but can't currently do much due to hand pains preventing me from drawing, and I also lack as much privacy to do recordings and editing for Let's Plays super frequently right now. Thus, my schedule has been opening up without much to fill in the gap.

Then, I had the idea to bring back comic reviews. I have the time to work on it, and I think that so long as I don't overwork myself, I'll retain my motivation as well.

There are two important things to note about this:
1. I would want to make it part of a new comic. My opinions and critiquing abilities have changed and improved drastically since 2013 when I started this whole thing. Making a newer, spiffier Ulti Reviews would better reflect how I've changed as a person and improved as a creator.

2. I... kind of need something to review. I'd rather not pull from the remaining list that I left off in 2015, since that's not really relevant anymore. I don't want to review something without being granted permission first, either, but it's also awkward to go up to some author and be all "hey can I review your comic" out of nowhere.

So, basically, what I'm asking from you guys is, does anyone have a comic that belongs to them that they would want me to take a look at for Ulti Reviews 2: The Reviewening? (name not final, patent pending)

It's been on hiatus for like two years, but maybe a review of my Tyton Nuzlocke would help spur me to work on the new chapter more frequently. (If any fans see this, yes, I've made new pages within the last few months. I'm just real slow.)

As stated AND STILL ALIVE, House of craziness. me and assasinperson asked to be reviewed...it never died...its just how we conduct stuff is different more of a collab in execution. it even got a tv tropes page.

Theirs alot of effort in it by so many authors so particularly for me i'd like to see how you rate me now compared to before:

If you really want to, you could take a look at mine. Updates aren't frequent (college and everything), but it's... there.

Oh hey, I'm commenting on something on time! Awesome!

Oh snap, you finished Kirby Adventure? That's amazing! 700 pages, oh my gosh. I remember back when you hadn't even hit 100 yet. Time sure flies. But yeah I'm definitely going to catch up on that. College is a pain.

Anyway now that it's done, you should PROBABLY update your profile description, because it still says "Once it's finished" haha.

I have a comic that I'd love you to review, actually. Problem is, it doesn't exist yet. But when it does, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Give it maybe three years or so. Or maybe a decade. I don't really know how this works.

I mean it didn't change much, but I did "finish" tusb if you wanna give it a spin: http://www.smackjeeves.com/comicprofile.php?id=83194

I do have a currently-running original webcomic series called "Gaiden Chain" that I'd certainly like to submit. Though, I think it would be more appropriate after this next chapter finishes up.

Bro I've been wanting to review comics as a pastime

We should like collab or something ;)

Honestly? I've of two minds to ask for a re-glimpse at Power of Bonds. I did try to make a few changes to how I did the comic to make it better.

...Eh, sure. Why not. I've gotten better at taking criticism.

I would definitely love to see this return. And... maybe, just maybe, I'd be open to you reviewing my comic. In the future, of course.

TheJGamer, October 5th, 2017, 10:14 pm

I've got a comic you can review once it starts. Question is, will you still need to have at least 20 pages for a comic to be reviewable?

Rhythm_BCA, October 8th, 2017, 9:01 pm

I wouldn't mind someone giving a review of my comic. Been going for over 7 years and have well over 700 pages. Hope you like it

I'll wait it out a bit till I let you review mine. You've already had to deal with enough comics of the Shit Genre so I'll give you a break.
