Read X's every day life here:

If you want to put a positive spin on this one, this is the highest rated multi-author comic so far.

Next up: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Cosmos by SkyyKirby44.

Edit: New next up: Tosi Huono Yaoi Sarjis by H-P.

@Ultimate Yoshi: Ack! These reviews are coming out a bit quicker than I expected...

The comic is still undergoing some remakes at the moment, so it'd be better to skip over for now.

Reply Ultimate Yoshi, January 29th, 2015, 2:37 pm

@SkyyKirby44: How about this: I'll remove it from the upcoming page entirely. Once it's ready, tell me again and it'll be added back on to the end of the list.

Reply SkyyKirby44, January 29th, 2015, 2:46 pm

@Ultimate Yoshi: Yeah that would work fine.

*looks at the Upcoming page* Oh dear, it looks like there is another co-author comic after Tosi Huono Yaoi Sarjis. Hope it will be good...

Reply witswithme, January 29th, 2015, 3:24 pm

Well, it WAS terrible in its first lifetime... @DeeBert: The current incarnation... That's to be decided, although I know that there is one weak author-link within the comic.

@Ultimate Yoshi: Alright, hope the next review's gonna be better.

BTW, the girl that kicked X in the robo-dong's name is Alia, who appeared in Megaman X5 to X8.

*also, let's just forget X7 existed now, shall we? Please?*

The way it was described in the begging I was expecting like a 6.5/10 but then I realized that the text and style changes from various co-authors really hurts the rating. Nevertheless one of the better co-author comics no doubt about that.

Hmmmm... I was hoping for a higher score but at least it's not a complete train-wreak compared to some other comics here.

And I have to agree, there are some things that need to be fixed in the comic. Heck, I'm planning on remaking the first chapter since I feel like I could do better from it (mostly from my pages). That, and like you said, some of the comics are down and I have to fix that later.

Thanks for the review. I'll ask for another review in the future again once I have more of the story written out and fix the problems here and there. Till then, keep up the good work.

Oh, and I also have two more comics I want reviews on also but that can also wait.

You mentioned not knowing if any of characters past X and Zero were even from the MMX series. Alia (girl in brown), Signas (the big guy in dark blue/black) and Axl (the black/red guy with the brown hair spikes) are all from the games, as well as obviously Sigma. I haven't read through the comic in a while so I might be missing a couple, but I don't recall any of the others being from the series itself.

The comic does seem to exaggerate certain personalities a bit, and from what I can remember it makes Alia seem like a drooling Megaman X fangirl rather than his co-worker, which isn't even remotely accurate to the actual game series. The others from what I recall aren't nearly as altered, but they did seem a bit bland from what I remember and what you've shown in this review. All the original characters do seem a bit lacking as well, but due to the self-insert nature of them I can presume they didn't think about developing the personality too much and just based it off of themselves. I could be wrong, but it seems like that's likely the case here.

The script is a very good touch, and one that future co-authored comics should take note of, though. Planning out events that happen over the course of your comic is ESSENTIAL to having it play out smoothly and feel coherent. If you don't take the time to actually communicate with your co-authors your story will seem choppy and incomplete.

Though it has been going on for five years, X's Everyday Life being created by eight different people in the manner it is doesn't lend itself well to the individual development of any of the authors. Since they're taking turns making comics, and the updates are few and far between, there's not really a constant stream of work being done by any of the authors, which leads to them not improving. A solo comic would probably be better for each of them to improve in areas like this, in lieu of relying on a comic like this to help improve. It's by no means a bad comic, but for authors looking to better their work, it's not the right environment to really make progress in due to the way co-authoring is handled.

What do you plan on doing once the 'upcoming' list ends?

Reply Blizzard, January 29th, 2015, 10:24 pm

@1ce_k1d: Most likely he will just wait for more reviews to flock in, or he will do Comic Spotlights for the time being. That's just what I think though.

Here's a comic I think will be rather interesting to review:

I kind of consider this my "main" comic, even though it's been on hiatus for some time now. I'm actually rather curious to see what you'll make of it.

@Guest: No, I won't forget X7 existed, it was a nice challenge after all.

Reply TheSilverLeague, January 31st, 2015, 4:08 pm

Honestly the voting system for those awards were flawed (to a point that even one of the judges admitted that SL should won or AT LEAST placed higher, because they realized not everyone was understanding how it worked) but never the less I agree this comic is far from bad, just.. needs work.

Also! Expect me to request a 2nd review for when I finish Chap 7 and begin Chap 8, because I think a lot of the things that were missing in the previous review get addressed in chap 7 alone lol

@Fighter Dee: But...Flame Hyenard...

Also, since we're all on the topic of Mega Man X7, hold this:

*warning: cursing ahoy!*

Edit: Here's part 2, by the same creator, less cursing this time!:

If it's not too much, I'd like you to review my comic, Dumbity.
I'd like to see some criticism on it from someone like you.

@Guest: That guy was the biggest annoyance I've had in ages, but the rest was better!
