Read MineBlocks: Nether Frenzy here:

Congratulations to Nether Frenzy for being the longest single-page comic review thus far. That's something, I suppose.

Next up: X's every day life by multiple people and requested by godmoderncommander.

And that's one reason I won't have a co-author on my comic. I don't plan things, I just work them out. Much easier when it's myself.

Reply hitkid96fan, January 21st, 2015, 7:11 pm

Ouch. What a example for co-author comics to NOT follow.

Firstish Comment i guess It did Good for a Simple Premise. I have Changed Amazing after this and Gotten Amazing Results. This Was My Boost Needed to make it better. The Visual can be a issue but it was Long...This Was the best before i got the groove.

If You Don't Believe me, Go look at My Two New Projects.
The Revamp of the Horrble Dcall Zone. And The Decentness of Kirby Crew D1.

I'm Happy you did the Review.
and Eventually i am going to
ask for another Review. Something that will Truimph all the others. And Made Solo by Mii. Thanks for the advice, That i used.

^^ Thanks and i Hope You have Good Day. I unlike maybe others appreciate the work. Super long comment GO!

(maybe i don't Know, I might make a Revamp of it...even if it looks too Pngness. maybe, or maybe not...?)

Well, it's another one of those co-author comics that end up bad, is there even any co-author comics that end up being actually good (besides To Defeat Them All)?

@DeeBert: Mega Pain?
It was A co-author comic...

Reply Mechist, January 21st, 2015, 7:55 pm

You called me worthless.

I'm sad.

Reply witswithme, January 21st, 2015, 7:58 pm

Well, I WOULD request Author Adventures... But I'm the only one who wants the comic reviewed.

Reply plasma_knight303, January 21st, 2015, 8:03 pm

We got a half star.
Good. Honestly?
We deserved it.

Also, that sunset panel was indeed crap.

Reply Blizzard, January 21st, 2015, 8:07 pm

Oooh .5 that is a bit painful.

To be fair, they can work well. It's just a matter of authors actually planning things out together and not creating comics independently. Like Ulti said, author comics need to be planned and collaborated on in order to have any shot at seeming coherent and accessible to the reader.

The comic Ulti's reviewing up next, X's Everyday Life, actually accomplishes this really well, because the authors don't write in plot points everywhere as they go. The comic follows a script written by one of the first authors and if anybody wants to make changes to it they actually have to go in and discuss it with said author (Godmoderncommmander). It's not the most consistent as far as visuals go, but the fact that they work off of a consistent script really helps the comic stay coherent.

Oh boy. I'm next. I better get on re-posting my comics again since Majhost is down at the moment.

*Gets to work on that.*

At least it's not a -10 out of 10.

Three rants for one review. Wow!

Reply Moon light madness, January 22nd, 2015, 8:17 am

@witswithme: Even tho I'm not the author anymore I would wanna see that too.

And in case you're wondering, Ulti is speaking from experience when he says that co-authored comics are hard to keep consistent in art-style and plot.

Reply witswithme, January 25th, 2015, 7:25 pm

Auuugh. @Jarkes: You're telling me.

Reply Jarkes, January 25th, 2015, 9:33 pm

@witswithme: The funny thing is, the co-authored comic he did was only between him and Luigi_96 --just two people-- but it managed to quickly devolve into a complete mess in only about 30 pages before they quietly cancelled it and Luigi_96 put it in his junk drawer.

And this comic here had, what, 10 authors, two of which left the comic and two of which don't really do anything for it anymore? Yikes. No wonder Ulti had such harsh words for it.

Though I'm glad the authors of this comic are being a lot more mature about his criticism than the authors of that one Digimon co-authored comic he reviewed a while back (I can never remember if the co-authored one was Core Eyes or Twin Souls).

Reply GamingGirl (Guest), January 26th, 2015, 6:32 pm

@Jarkes: It was Core Eyes.

Reply Syogren, January 26th, 2015, 8:38 pm

Yeesh. Welp. Uh...better luck next time guys? Please try to take what he's saying into account. It's fine to make comics for fun, but if you want people to like 'em, ya gotta follow a few rules and guidelines. Mostly things like a semi-consistent visual style/plot. Good luck on your journeys to comic greatness.

Reply Jarkes, January 26th, 2015, 9:28 pm

@GamingGirl: Yeah, that one. Dear GOD, that comment section was a trainwreck. Though to be fair, two of the co-authors from that one were respectful about it, and admitted that there were some things they could've handled better.

Reply GokentoPower, January 27th, 2015, 9:40 am

cuz i dint want to continue it either.
